MAAGAN MICHAEL BRACKISH WATER DESALINATION PLANT

Maagan Desalination, is the  largest private Brackish water desalination plant in  Israel, started  as   a  partnership  of  Ionics  {NYSE: ION)  subsidiary  –  Ionics  Water  Resources and  Kibbutz  Maagan  Michael,  and today belongs 100% to Kibbutz Maagan Michael.

The  Plant  started  its  production  in  2004 and today  it  is  desalinating  50,000  cubic meters per day of brackish water from  26 different   brackish  water  wells  from  the 40m depth Taninim River aquifer.

The  desalinated   water   is  added  to  the National Water Carrier of Mekorot National Water Company for drinking water consumption.
